How we handle your personal information

This policy explains how cleaningnearme collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Effective date: 11 June 2026.

1. Who we are

cleaningnearme is an online quote service for cleaning work in Pretoria and surrounding areas. We do not carry out cleans ourselves: we collect your request and pass it to trusted, independent cleaning companies in our network, and the company that accepts your job carries out the clean. For POPIA purposes, cleaningnearme is the responsible party for the information you give us on this website. Contact person: Charlene Smith — info@cleaningnearme.co.za.

2. What we collect

Contact details you enter in the quote calculator: name, surname, phone number, email address and address.
Details about the clean you want: service type, property size, rooms, extras and similar options.
If you use the email field on our home page, the email address you enter there.

We do not collect special personal information, and this website does not use tracking cookies.

3. Why we collect it

To calculate and email you your quote.
To pass your request to cleaning companies in our network so one of them can take the job and contact you to confirm.
To respond when you contact us.

We collect your information with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box in the quote calculator. You may decline, but then we cannot prepare or send your quote.

4. Who we share it with

Trusted, independent cleaning companies in our network — only what they need to quote and carry out your job. The company that accepts your job becomes responsible for the information it receives.
Service providers that help us run the site, such as our email delivery provider, only to the extent needed to deliver your quote.

We never sell your personal information, and we do not send it outside South Africa except where a service provider processes it under protections equivalent to POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

We keep quote requests only as long as needed to arrange your clean and for our records, after which they are deleted. You may ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

6. How we protect it

Your details are sent over an encrypted connection and shared only with the parties described above. Access is limited to the people who need it to handle your request.

7. Your rights under POPIA

Ask what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy.
Ask us to correct or delete your information.
Withdraw your consent or object to processing at any time.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the home page.
